audobon1Just 8 miles southeast of Downtown Dallas, another world exists here at The Trinity River Audubon Center (TRAC).  With its expansive views of incredible wildlife and nature, situated on a 120-acre nature preserve, TRAC is a unique and ideal venue for indoor and/or outdoor weddings and other private events.

The Trinity River Audubon Center is managed by Audubon Texas, the state program of the National Audubon Society. Audubon’s mission for more than 100 years has been to conserve and restore natural ecosystems focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats, for the benefit of humanity and earth’s biological diversity. TRAC is a LEED certified building.  Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) consists of a suite of rating systems for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings, homes and neighborhoods. The mission of TRAC is to instill a shared appreciation and sense of stewardship for the natural world through hands-on nature education, citizen science and conservation.

Several beautiful rooms are available to accommodate almost any special event.

audobon1Our Great Hall, Decks, Exhibit Hall, and Café areas provide a spectacular setting for larger seated dinners, receptions, and presentations. Floor-to-ceiling windows invite visitors into nature the moment they enter the building. This space accommodates 225 theater-style, 200 seated for dinner, or 300 for a standing reception. And our nature store, adjacent to the Great Hall, has the perfect field guide or local artisan souvenir for every visitor.

audobon1Our Multipurpose Room is an ideal location for corporate retreats, wedding and bridal showers, and daytime parties. Texas pecan veneer paneling, two glass walls overlooking our wetlands, and windows which can be opened for natural ventilation bring the outdoors inside. This space can be divided into three breakout areas for smaller meetings; maximum accommodation is 97 seats theater-style or 75 guests, seated six to a table.

audobon1The Conference Room and Wetlab classroom are spacious, high-tech destinations for smaller, more intimate meetings. The conference room comfortably seats 18 at one long conference table with wireless internet access and an adjoining small service kitchen. Slightly larger groups (20-35) can comfortably assemble in our Wetlab classroom.

audobon1Before/after-hours surcharges:

* Events scheduled before opening (9a.m. Monday-Saturday, 10a.m. Sunday) will incur an additional 15% per hour to the basic hourly rental rate, plus $25/hour for staff time.

* Events after 12a.m. (midnight) will incur an additional 15% per hour to the basic hourly rental rate, plus $50/hour for staff time and $40 for security.

Please note: renters who select Bolsa Mercado as their caterer can use available tables and chairs at no charge.
